The San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus (SFGMC) is providing unprecedented financial support to this production, but the performance will feature a variety of elements over and above the traditional scope of SFGMC concerts, including our cast from New York, a live 30-piece orchestra, state of the art projections, a potential studio recording of the CD, as well as our director, producers and the additional support needed to make all of that happen.
To make our dreams for the world premiere a reality, we have created the FRIENDS OF I AM HARVEY MILK. Your donation will help us raise the additional funds necessary and we are very much hoping for your support. Membership in FRIENDS comes with tickets to the world premiere performance and after party, as well as other exciting benefits and gifts. All of your contributions will be run through the SFGMC, and are fully tax-deductible, but the I AM HARVEY MILK fund will be maintained separately to pay specifically for the types of additional expenses mentioned above.
We have also created the "LIFELONG FRIENDS OF I AM HARVEY MILK." In addition to all the benefits that come with membership in the FRIENDS, the LIFELONG FRIENDS will be the first group to whom opportunites to get involved in future productions will be presented.
